Come and ride a friendly traditional ‘club ten’. The 10 mile time trial is still one of the backbones of the British cycling club scene. Our local club ‘Clwb Beicio Ystwyth’ are hosting a ’10’ for us, down at the Cwm Rheidol visitor centre. The ride starts and finishes here, heading out to Capel Bangor and onto Lovesgrove, turning at the roundabout at 5 miles before heading back.
If you fancy seeing how fast you can ride for 10 miles, then this is your event, just you against the clock. This is not a group or bunched ride. Riders are set off at one minute intervals and if you are passed, you must allow the passing rider to continue alone, and cuaght riders are not permitted to ride directly behind another rider. If you come up behind a slower rider, overtake them when safe to do so.
Entry is £3 and all entries are taken at the start line.
The course will be marhsalled at the turning point and at the junctions, but the highway code must be obeyed at all times.
There will be tea, coffee and cakes for all riders and volunteers after the race!
