The cliff railway uplift only allows us to have a maximum field of 125.
There is no vehicle access avaiable to the clifftop as the access road is strictly private.
Starting at the very uppermost point of Constitution Hill at the Olympic torch beacon, the course heads down to the north of the cafe area and onto the coastal path where a left turn takes the riders down a steep shale bank towards the first of two bridges.
After negotiating the steep steps after the bridge, an off camber right heads straight into the second bridge where confident riders will launch off the edge of this to jump the steps and land into a sweeping left and short straight before negotiating a series of switchbacks down towards the bottom of the hill and onto the promenade area.
A sharp right at the cliff railway lower station take the route onto a long stairway, landing on the promenade. Care needs to be taken at the bollards before a quick spring to the finsh line on Victoria Terrace!
